Charlecote Pheasant Hotel

We are leaving Stratford-upon-Avon and going eastwards, only after a couple of miles (4 to be exact) we encounter a hotel so nicely located it seem unbelievable. Charlecote Pheasant Hotel is places just opposite Charlecote Park - a National Trust Property and a deer reserve. Deer reserve is the very same one Shakespeare got caught poaching. Charlecote is a great place to stop on the way to London or Birmingham to see the famous park and have a good lunch. It is also an excellent base for touring Shakespeare's houses in general They are all only short drive away from the hotel and airport is roughly 40 miles away from here. Check the photo gallery to see what the rooms look like.

Bjorn van der Horst

This not so famous chef is opening a new restaurant in London. Bjorn used to work together with the one and only Gordon Ramsay. His restaurant La Noisette has been closed down 1.5 year after its official opening.
Thaths the second closed restaurant on that site so far (previous one closed down in 2005). From now on it will be used for private dining etc. Bjorn will be now setting up his own establishment together with his lovely wife. Nothing has been decided but plans are for it to be in central London with a grand opening in September.

Salford Hall Hotel

While on your way from Cotswolds to the Shakespeare Birthplace it would be a shame not to visit this 16th century old manor house. Salford Hall Hall has a priest hole still available for everyone to see, great history and can offer wonderful hospitality. Restaurant is one of the best in the region wit AA rosettes and excellent stuff. There is Minstrels Bistro available for light lunches as well as sumptuous Sunday Lunches and more formal occasions. Salford Hall is and idyllic setting for a wedding that can take up to 200 guests. With wonderful grounds and walled garden your guest will not go home disappointed. Come and have glass of Pimms at Salford Hall this summer and see what it looks like for yourself.
